Bomb hoax call probe turns murky

Bengaluru, Sept 7: The Bengaluru police have stumbled upon murky details of the person who is alleged to have made the hoax call to the airport as a result of which three flights had been delayed.

It is now said that the person who had made the hoax call has even confessed to murdering his wife.


It is alleged that M G Gokul who had made the bomb call to the Bengaluru airport has now told the police that he had murdered his wife. [Bomb threat at Delhi-Bengaluru airports declared hoax]

He had called the airport on Saturday and said that bombs were planted on three flights.

During the course of the investigation, the police have learnt that he had used his neighbour's SIM card to make the call.

The police say that the investigations are at a very preliminary stage and it is difficult to arrive at any conclusion as yet.

On one hand, it is alleged that Gokul was making advances towards his friend's wife. The police say that he may have tried to frame his friend.

The police are now investigating the murder case after Gokul allegedly confessed to the same. The motive behind the murder is not clear, the police say and add that investigations are still on.
