Sonakshi, while apologising to Sarabjit, tweeted, "Being a girl, gave the benefit of doubt to Jasleen, like many others! And like many others am embarrassed n let down! Apologies to the guy."
When one of her followers welcomed her decision to admit "mistake", Sonakshi, wrote, "Admitting a mistake and apologizing doesn't make anyone a smaller person...thats what I've been taught!"

26-year-old Sarabjit was accused of harassing Jasleen. He allegedly had passed lewd remark to Jasleen, who later lodged police complaint against Sarabjit and posted his image on social networking site Facebook.
Jasleen received massive support from everyone, especially from media across the country. Soon, Sarabjit too tried to describe his part of the story. However, no one paid any heed to his statement.
However, the incident took an U-turn when one eye-witness supported Sarabjit's version stating that he did not molest the girl.
Sarabjit, in his statement, claimed that Jasleen is an AAP member and she filed the case against him to gain political momentum.
Meanwhile, Jasleen rubbished Sarabjit's claim and was quoted as saying, "Even if I belong to a political party, does it validate the case of eve-teasing?"
"The college to which I belong is not a part of Delhi University Students Union and thus I cannot be a part of any university election," she added.
