Hema Malini meets Modi for Mathura
Mathura, Nov 6: Bollywood veteran actress Hema Malini met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Wednesday, Nov 5. The actress, who is also a BJP MP, has been working hard to make her constituency Mathura a 'heritage city'.

Hema Malini, who is known as an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna, met the Prime Minister and expressed her desire to make Lord Krishna's birthplace a heritage city.

Turning up to micro-blogging site Twitter, the actress wrote, "Had a very fruitful meeting with Modiji in Delhi. Spoke to him about Mathura Vikas and how I needed his help to implement my ideas."

She also tweeted, "He (Modi) listened to all my points like declaring Mathura a heritage city, Yamuna cleaning, laying of roads and water problem."

The actress recently faced flak for her statement on Vrindavan widows. During her short trip to Vrindavan, Hema Malini had said that widows from Bihar and Bengal should not crowd the city and should stay back in their own states.

She said this after discovering poor living conditions in a shelter home in Vrindavan. She also said that she would speak to Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee about it.
