The actress recently faced flak for her statement on Vrindavan widows. During her short trip to Vrindavan, Hema Malini had said that widows from Bihar and Bengal should not crowd the city and should stay back in their own states.
She said this after discovering poor living conditions in a shelter home in Vrindavan. She also said that she would speak to Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee about it.
