Jammu and Kashmir
Srinagar, Oct 16: The Jammu and Kashmir floods did not just take things away from people, it also returned. A girl who was kidnapped in Mumbai about a year ago reunited with her family after the Jammu and Kashmir floods. 7-year old Megha was abducted and forced into begging. She remembers everything that happened to her.

Naming the person who abducted her she said that one Nazeer Ahmed beat her all the time and forced her into begging in several parts of the country. He took me to UP, Kolkata and then to Kashmir, Srinagar and Sopore, and forced me to beg," she said.

During the floods, it is reported that the man abandoned her at a Dargah in the city's Dal Gate area. At first, she was considered to be one of the survivors who had lost her parents, but later when the Imam of that Dargarh-Ashiq Ilahi-took charge, knots seem to open one by one. While she was taken care of by a local family there, the Imam not only informed the police but also posted her photo in Facebook.

Meanwhile, her guardian Jahanara, who lived with her four kids, said,"She was happy with my children and is like a daughter. We thought if nobody turned up to take her, we'll keep her with us."

However, police soon tracked her roots and saved the day. Mumbai police Commissioner Rakesh Maria said,"In two hours, the details were matched with the complaint that her family had lodged a year ago." Following this, Megha's grandfather came to Srinagar and took her.
