BJP slams Pakistan PM Sharif for raking up Kashmir issue
"Even when Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended the hands of friendship, Pakistan was more keen to talk to separatists rather than the Government of India and the talks got cancelled," BJP spokeperson Nalin Kohli said. "So all this that is happening should not come as a surprise," he said.
The Pakistan premier today raised up the Kashmir issue at the UNGA and blamed India for "another missed opportunity" to address outstanding issues by cancelling the Foreign Secretary-level talks.
Asserting that a "veil" cannot be drawn over the "core" issue of Kashmir, he said Pakistan was ready to work for resolution of this problem through negotiations.
