Bengaluru, April 3: The tech city Bengaluru has been decked up for the national executive meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday, April 3.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President of the Party Amit Shah, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, External Affair Minister Sushma Swaraj and other senior party leaders were present to attend the meet. [BJP National Executive Meet in Bengaluru: Modi reveals his 8 mantras for success]

However, senior party leader LK Advani was absent during the meet. Advani, one of BJP's main founding members and tallest leaders, has attended and addressed at all national executive meetings of the party, except during the last meet in Goa when Narendra Modi was announced to be the head of party's campaign committee in Lok Sabha polls.

Though the national executive meeting is the first after the BJP came to power at the Centre in May 2014, it is the fourth time the meet is being held here after the first in 1993, second 1999 and the third 2008, when the party was in power in the southern state for five years.

The venue of the meet is Lalit Ashok Hotel.

The PM is scheduled to address a public meeting at the National College grounds later in the day

PM Modi, while addressing BJP workers ahead of national executive meet, congratulated party president Amit Shah.

PM also congratulated BJP workers for the campaign that enlisted over 9 crore members.

However, the PM asked party leaders to utilise the power of that 9 crore membership.

The last national executive meeting of the BJP was held in Goa. This time the party chose Bengaluru.
