BJP meet on Sunday to chose CMs for four states
The BJP's Parliamentary board will meet on Sunday to decide on the chief ministerial candidate for the four states that the party won in. The party meeting is scheduled to be held in New Delhi at 6 pm on Sunday.
The party won the elections in Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Goa and Uttarakhand. The party is likely to take a final decision on who would be leading the four states. In Uttar Pradesh, there are at least four candidates who are in the fray to become the CM. Keshav Maurya is one of the front-runners to the CM's post in UP.
Amit Shah, the national president of the BJP, told the media that the BJP will form the government in all the four states and this is one of the biggest victories since Independence. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership for this victory.
