Lucknow, Dec 27: Controlling inflation, corruption and crime against women are no longer the priorities of the BJP government as it has taken up issues like "love jihad" and conversion to "divide" the country, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today alleged.

"The priorities of the Modi government can be gauged from the fact that while it is erecting a statue of Rs 2,000 crores and has allocated Rs 600 crore for VIP security, only Rs 100 crore has been earmarked for the security of women," senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh said here.

'BJP has left its development agenda and is dividing the country'
"The Modi government has failed on its three main points of black money, inflation and safety of women," Singh said adding that BJP has left its development agenda and taken up issues like "love jihad and conversion" to divide the country.

Claiming that there was no let up in corruption and it was rampant in Delhi, the AAP leader said that people have not got relief even after the reduction in petroleum products as it was not in the proportion to the reduction in international prices of oil.

On the black money, Singh said that Union Finance minister Arun Jaitley was speaking in the same language as used by his predecessor P Chidambram and both the Congress and BJP have similar stand on it.

Alleging that the language being used by BJP ministers and MPs was against the norms of democracy, he said that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi issues apology on it one day, his ministers go about issuing similar statement the next day.

He claimed that the Modi magic was waning as was reflected in the recent assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir and Jharkhand with its vote percentage going down by 9 per cent.

"If such a scene continued AAP will bag 50 seats in Delhi elections," Singh said. He also attacked the Uttar Pradesh, saying that it was not taking any concrete steps to check 'goonda raj' and corruption.

Citing Yadav Singh case, he said the "billionaire engineer" had political patronage.

"We will hit the streets in UP soon and confront the government," he said. Meanwhile, senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia said there was total transparency in the party's fund collection drive, and it was organised to ensure the involvement of more people.

"The party has the account of each rupee spent by it," he said.
