BJP confirms support to Nitish Kumar
If BJP decides to support Nitish then they will have 124 seats in the 243 seat Bihar Assembly.
The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday confirmed that it would support the Janata Dal (United) government under Nitish Kumar, who resigned as Bihar Chief Minister earlier today and severed ties with ally RJD.
JD (U) has 71 seats and BJP has 53 seats in the Bihar Assembly. If BJP decides to support Nitish then they will have 124 seats in the 243 seat Bihar Assembly.

"Nityanand Rai Ji and I called Nitish Ji. BJP decides to support him. We will support the government formed under him. We will inform this to the Governor also," Bihar BJP leader Sushil Modi told news agency ANI.
BJP leaders JP Nadda and Sanjay Mayukh are set to visit Patna on Thursday.
Nitish Kumar on Wednesday resigned as Bihar Chief Minister after a standoff with RJD over corruption charges against Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav.
Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad had earlier today said that the JD(U)-RJD alliance was a mismatch and forged due to BJP's 'fear'.
"This (RJD-JDU) alliance was a mismatch. It was forged out of fear of BJP. Nitish was part of NDA government in the past and we have worked with him," he had said.
The BJP also said that they did not want mid-term polls in Bihar.
