Mumbai, Aug 24: Anything can happen in India. Days after the shocking reports about the arrest of a parrot, now a goat has been put behind bars.
The goat was locked in the police lock-up when a team of police officials seized the animal from a cattle thief. The cops seized the goat from a person, who allegedly had taken the animal from the complainant.
Investigating officers claimed that they have busted a cattle theft racket in the state. The cops also made sure that they kept the goat and the suspect in separate cells.
Earlier a parrot was arrested at Rajura City in Chandrapur district of Maharashtrathe. The bird was accused of hurling abuses at a woman.
85-year-old woman filed the case against the complaint and alleged that the parrot was indulging in obscene activities.
However, the real story was divulged when it was revealed that the parrot was one of the victims of dispute between the complainant and her stepson.
The woman told police that her stepson has trained the parrot to use slang words against her.
Following the complaint, police handed over the parrot to the forest department for rehabilitation, as there is no law to punish parrot.
