New Delhi, Nov 8: As latest trends are hinting towards a massive victory for Nitish Kumar-led Grand Alliance in the Bihar assembly elections on Nov 8, it has emerged as big humiliation for Today's Chanakya exit polls for it predicted the reverse.

As per latest trends the Nitish Kumar led Grand Alliance is heading towards a clear majority in the high stakes Bihar polls by leading over more than 158 seats leaving the NDA alliance, which is leading on 76 seats, far behind.

Bihar: Chanakya's credibility under dock

The trends are a damp squib for Today's Chankaya for it predicted a clear majority for the BJP-led NDA in the Bihar Assembly elections. According to the exit poll projected by Chanakya, the BJP-led NDA was set to get 144 to 166 seats while it gave 74 to 92 seats to the JD(U)-led grand alliance.

On the contrary, today's results are completely opposite to what Chanakya had projected. Whereas, other exit poll predictions claimed Nitish Kumar is going to return as Bihar CM.

Latest trends from the vote count showed, after trailing to the BJP-led combine initially, Nitish Kumar's (JD-U) and its allies Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Congress surged ahead.

Exit poll table

Chanakya shot to popularity for its accurate poll projection in last year's Lok Sabha polls in which Modi-led BJP created history. Chanakya, in May 2014, was the only surveyor to have predicted that the BJP-led NDA will 300 plus seats in the Lok Sabha.

Today's results have certainly brought Chanakya's poll forecast under the docks.
