Patna, March 19: At a time when students are burning the midnight lamp during board exams, a bizarre and shocking video has resurfaced from Bihar, where Board exams have been turned into a mockery.
In what can be said as a pathetic state of education in Bihar, family members of students appearing in Class 10th board exams were caught scaling the walls of a multi-storeyed school building, in an attempt to hand over them cheating material, in Hajipur district of the state.
The shocking pictures and video of the act went viral on social media sites on Thursday.
Family members were seen passing along bits of paper with answers written on them to boys, who handed over them to students.
Entire question paper was solved and was handed over to students who simply copied it down.
In the scaling act, while offering their full support to students for cheating and putting their lives at stake, some of the people even fell to the ground and got injured.
Despite heavy police deployment and invigilators, the cheating menace could not be curbed.
Some students were caught openly cheating during the exams.
Surprisingly, some of the teachers revealed that such kind of cheating practice is rampant in the school from last several years.
The similar incident was also reported from Vaishali district's Vidya Niketan School.
What Bihar Education Minister PK Shahi said over the incident?
"We have come across reports of students cheating in Board exams, despite adequate arrangements made by the admninistration", Bihar Education Minister PK Shahi told a news agency.
He asked, "Want to raise a question, can Government alone conduct fair exams without support of society, parents of students?"
"I don't think this is a failure of Govt, but this is true we need support of society", he further said.
The incident did make some of us laugh:
