Bengaluru: Jet Airways flight grounded after smoke detection in cabin
New Delhi, June 15: A Mangaluru-bound Jet Airways Flight 9W 2839 on Wednesday retured back to Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru, after smoke was observed in the cabin.
Reportedly, 65 passengers and four crew members were on board. After the incidence, all members were deplaned and are safe, says report.
Later a statement was issued by the airport authority saying, "A full emergency was declared at KIAB for priority landing following which the runway closed for operations at 1020 Hours. The aircraft landed safely. Standard emergency procedures were followed".

Reportedly, the runways resumed its operations again at 1051 Hours.
