Bengaluru, Sept 25: Two days after the death of a woman, police finally solved the mysterious suicide case in Bengaluru. To everyone's surprise, the case turned out to be a murder case.
Police on Thursday, Sept 24 lodged a suicide case. It was stated that the woman, who has been identified as Vijayalakshmi, committed suicide as she was upset with her husband Narayana Reddy.
Reddy called his in-laws in the wee hours of Thursday. When all of them broke open the door of their bedroom, they found Vijayalakshmi's body lying in a pool of blood.
While filing the case, Reddy told cops that his wife had asked him to take her for a ride on his motor bike. When he refused, she got upset and later committed suicide.
However, investigating officials were not convinced and they took Reddy into their custody. Finally, the man confessed to his crime. He revealed the details how he killed his wife.
It was Reddy who actually slit his wife's throat after a quarrel over her fidelity. The incident took place on Wednesday which was the birthday of his wife.
A police officer was quoted as saying, "We found his behaviour to be suspicious and took him into custody for interrogation. When he was grilled, he confessed that he had killed his wife as she had an illicit affair. We are investigating further."
