New Delhi, Jan 30: Days after courting controversy over his statement that bollywood actor Katrina Kaif should be made President of India, former Press Council of India chairman, Markandey Katju has made another sensationlizing comment.
Former SC judge Katju on Friday said that BJP has erred by making former IPS officer Kiran Bedi as CM candidate. He said the party would have achieved more by declaring Shazia as its CM candidate.
According to DNA report, Katju gave example of Croatia and explained that people with beautiful faces fetches more votes.
"I regard Shazia Ilmi much more beautiful than Kiran Bedi. If Shazia had been made their (BJP) candidate BJP wud have defiitely won the Delhi," said Katju in a series of tweets.
"People vote for beautiful faces, as in Croatia. Even a person like me who does not vote wud have voted for Shazia," said another tweet by Katju.
Earlier, Katju said that Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif should be made President of India.
His blog titled "Katrina Kaif for President of India" wrote, "Croatia, which has an ailing economy, has elected a beautiful woman, Ms. Grabar-Kitarovic, as its President. I am always in favour of electing beautiful women, like film actresses, on all posts".
Katju's tweets have created a flutter in the social media.
