New Delhi, Feb 4: She may be having an image of a tough person in the minds of people, but Delhi witnessed another side of BJP's chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi on Wednesday. Overwhelmed by the response she is getting the former IPS officer, who is making her political debut with Delhi assembly elections, broke down while campaigning in her constituency.

Dabbing her eyes with a handkerchief, Kiran Bedi, 65, said, "This is the love of the people and I don't have words to express...I am going to return the love. The government will be giving back the love. The government will work honestly and serve the people."

The sudden emotional outburst from BJP's chief ministerial candidate took everyone by surprise. Bedi is campaigning extensively in her Krishnanagar assembly constituency.

Bedi's emotional outburst also comes at a time when rival Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is projected to get a majority in the Feb 7 polls. Almost every pre-poll survey is predicting AAP getting a clear majority in the 70-member Delhi Assembly.

AAP is getting a tally of 46 seats in the 70-member house while a 'poll of polls' projects 34 seats for the party. The India Today-Cicero pre-poll survey on Headlines Today projected a win for AAP giving it 38-46 seats while BJP has been projected to secure 19-25 seats.

The Congress has been placed way behind with only 3-7 seats. The vote share, according to the survey, for the AAP has been placed at 43.5 per cent, the BJP at 35.5 per cent and Congress at 13 per cent.

AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal has got 44 per cent votes for the Chief Ministerial post while BJP's Kiran Bedi has got 35 per cent votes.
