Badaun: Rape victims' families threaten suicide at same spot

Badaun, Aug 23: In a new turn of events in the case of the Badaun twin rape and murder case, the CBI has denied that there was any sexual assault before the murders. To this, the families of the victims reacted aggressively saying that they would hang themselves from the same mango tree where the girls were found.

Amid claims that the police did not help the families when they reported a missing case because they wanted to save the culprits who belonged to a higher caste, the CBI has suddenly cropped up with this theory. They have further said that they are not ruling out the involvement of the family and they are not ruling out an honour killing angle.

Meanwhile, father of the main accused said,"They will be released soon but if he is indeed responsible then they should be punished."

Five men-three from a family and wo local constables have been arrested in this case. Their bail hearing is scheduled for later this month, where they will be released on bond in the absence of CBI objection. [Read]
