Bollywood lauds India's successful Mars mission
Mumbai, Sep 24: Calling it a "proud" and "historic" moment for India, Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Lata Mangeshkar and Sridevi hailed ISRO for the successful placing of the Mangalyaan satellite in the orbit around Mars today morning.

With the success of "Mangalyaan", India has become the first country to go to Mars in the very first try. Congratulating the scientists at the space agency, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Melody Queen Lata Mangeshkar said, "Namaskar. It is a very proud day for all Indians. Our scientists at ISRO have shown a miracle. "India's spacecraft has successfully reached the orbit around Mars. I congratulate all the scientists and I salute their hardwork and dedication. Jai Hind. Vande Mataram," the 84-year-old singer said.
