Asaram's lawyer: Girl suffers from a disease, which draws her to men
After the Jodhpur bench of the Rajasthan High court on Monday deferred the hearing on the bail application of Asaram Bapu till September 18, senior advocate Ram Jethmalani made a bizarre statement on Monday saying that the girl "was afflicted with a chronic disease, which draws a woman to a man and said that this was subject to police investigation."
Jethmalani disputed the FIR, the scene of crime and the age of the girl and termed the entire case as a fabricated one.
Justice Nirmal Kaur deferred the hearing till September 18 and directed the prosecution to present the case diary during the next hearing.
Asaram and his son had earlier levied charges that the girl was mentally unstable and that she had come to the ashram for treatment.
During his appearance , Asaram had requested the judge to allow him a peronal female doctor, for his treatment and some other requirements which were not met.
