Arvind Kejriwal leaves AAP in crisis; takes 10-day leave for Naturopathy

New Delhi, March 3: Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of New Delhi and the chief convener of AAP is going on a 10-day leave for naturopathy treatment on March 5.

However, this will happen amid cries that the party is undergoing severe crisis with two of his once ardent followers-Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav-criticizing Kejriwal and the party functionalities.

Meanwhile, Kejriwal has been advised by the doctor for a treatment because of high blood sugar and coughing.

On Wednesday, the party's top leaders will decide whether Yadav and Bhushan should be removed from the decision-making Political Affairs Committee.

Kejriwal, however, reacted for the first time after the ruckus saying,"I am deeply hurt and pained by what is going on in the party. This is betrayal of trust that Delhi posed in us. I refuse to be drawn in this ugly battle. Will concentrate only on Delhi's governance."

In an interview, Bhushan came out openly criticizing Kejriwal and the party work saying that there has been a complete breakdown of communication between him and Kejriwal.

He said,"There is a great danger of AAP becoming a one-man show. We didn't form the party to make it like any other political party where there is a high command and one person calls the shots."

It was Bhushan's internal note that was among the leaked letters that have exposed the extent of crisis in AAP.
