Armed and dangerous, Lashkar’s J-K chief is on the loose
Despite meticulous planning by the security forces, Abu Dujana manages to give the slip yet again
Abu Dujana, the chief of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba in the Valley was almost nabbed on December 7, but he managed to give the security agencies the slip. Top security officials say that they almost had him, but at the time of the encounter several locals reached the spot and began pelting stones.

An Intelligence Bureau dossier on the 26-year-old clearly suggests that he is a menace, armed and dangerous.
When the encounter began at 8 pm, the security forces had cornered Dujana. However, a group of around 50 men reached the encounter spot and began raising slogans. The mob pelted stones at the security personnel which caused a major distraction.
As a result, he managed to escape due to this distraction. Security officials say that they have been witnessing such situations since the past year. Locals land up at encounter sites, hurl abuses at the Indian Army personnel and even pelt stones.
The slip cost dearly
Dujana is known for his brazen style of functioning. This is the second time that he has managed to give the slip.
From masterminding the 2015 Udhampur attack to organising a hit on 8 CRPF personnel at Pampore, Dujana ensured that an already troubled Jammu and Kashmir remained on the boil.
