Are militants in Kashmir planning attacks underground?
Are militants of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba creating an underground hideout in Kashmir. Several videos are in circulation showing militants in an underground hideout. An analysis of the video suggests that the militants are from the LeT.
The video, which is being analysed by security agencies shows the militants chalking out a plan to carry out a major attack. In the video, a terrorist is heard telling his accomplices on how to carry out a strike. He, however, does not disclose the location of the attack.
He is seen telling the others ways to get out of the underground hideout and strike while also pointing to a map. The video's authenticity is now under check. Security officials tell OneIndia that it is a new video that is in circulation.
However, the official says that he cannot vouch for its authenticity as yet. "If underground hideouts are their new plan why would they reveal them? It looks like one of those many videos that are in circulation courtesy the Hizbul Mujahideen. The Hizbul Mujahideen had undertaken a major social media campaign. This was aimed at propaganda something that was started by their late commander Burhan Wani," the officials points out.
