Reportedly, the Delhi High Court on Wednesday issued a notice to party MLA Surender Singh. The Court has asked him to respond on a plea filed by a BJP leader Karan Singh Tanwar.
Tanwar had alleged that Surender Singh gave wrong information in his affadavit that he did his graduation from the Sikkim University.
As per reports, AAP MLA from Delhi Cantt region says that he did graduation in 2012. But in an RTI reply, Sikkim University has rejected his claim.
The court has given AAP MLA four week's time to respond on the same. The High Court has also directed the Election Commission to furnish all the educational certificates of the MLA.
However, Surender Singh has said that he has not done anything wrong and he will prove his innocence in the court.
This must be a big embarrassment to AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal who is exchanging barbs with Lt governor Najeeb Jung over the appointment of acting chief secretary Shakuntala Gamlin.
