Chennai, Dec 7: Political experts are predicting hard days ahead for the ruling All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in Tamil Nadu after the demise of party supremo and former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Monday.
Observers say the AIADMK is heading for a bitter succession war to fill-up Amma's position in the party.
Moreover, the party members have to struggle hard to keep its grip on the state's politics with an iron fist as Amma used to do during her rule.

In such a state of confusion, reports indicate that Sasikala Natarajan, the trusted friend of Jayalalithaa, is likely to be the next General Secretary of the AIADMK.
Although Sasikala has no political experience, her close-ties--almost three-decade-long friendship with Amma--will help her bag the coveted post, say experts.
But many ruled out such a possibility.
Other big names from the party like Lok Sabha deputy speaker M Thambidurai, Edappadi K Palaniswami (minister for works and highways), P Thangamani (energy) and S P Velumani (local administration) could also stake claim to the plum post.
Reports say the name of the next General Secretary of the AIADMK is likely to be announced at the party's annual general council meeting, scheduled to take place this month.
