Amar Singh inducted into SP's parliamentary party board
Amar Singh was on Wednesday inducted into the Samajwadi Party's parliamentary party board.
Lucknow, Dec 7: Amar Singh was on Wednesday inducted into the Samajwadi Party's parliamentary party board.
Singh, who is at loggerheads with UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, was in September appointed as national general secretary of the Samajwadi Party. Singh was earlier expelled from the party for six years.
His return to the SP is being seen as an effort by the party to boost its chances in the 2017 Assembly elections in UP, as Singh enjoys significant support from the Rajput community.
According to reports, Singh had earlier said that he was pained by statements given by Akhilesh Yadav and his supporters.
