Nitish: Cong, RJD not a cause of worry
Patna, Dec. 20: With RJD President Lalu Prasad leaving for Delhi to deliberate on a tie-up with Congress, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday said their alliance was natural as UPA partners, but it was no cause of worry for JD(U).

"The alliance between them is natural and there is no big deal in it. They are already UPA partners," Kumar told reporters on the sidelines of a programme of the All India Builders Association here.

This was no cause of worry for his party which banked on the support of people, Kumar said.

The chief minister said his government was discharging responsibility given by the people and if the duty was carried out sincerely, people would support them again. With RJD President flying to the national capital for talks with Congress leaders there are indications of formation of an alliance of RJD, Congress and LJP. CPI(M), CPI-ML and NCP could also be accommodated.

There are 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar. While RJD now has three LS seats after disqualification of Prasad following his conviction, Congress has two seats and LJP none. JD(U) has 22 seats and its former ally BJP 12.

Bihar Congress chief Ashok Chowdhary and its Legislature party leader Sadanand Singh have recently briefed party president Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi on political scenario for the coming Parliamentary elections.
