Air coolers in Hyderabad zoo: Yes, animals too are suffering due to intense heatwave

Hyderabad, April 13: This piece of news about Nehru Zoological Park, the popular zoo located in Hyderabad, installing air coolers for animals might leave you a little baffled, but the truth is that rise in temperatures in recent times has left everyone, including animals, mighty distressed in the cyber city.

Reports say several air coolers have been installed at the zoo recently to give some relief to the inmates from the intense heatwave that has gripped the city.


"Hyderabad: Air coolers installed for animals at Nehru Zoological Park due to intense heatwave," reported ANI.

The temperatures in Hyderabad are hovering between 40 to 42 degrees Celsius, making life difficult for people, especially those who have to venture outside for attending work and classes in schools and colleges.

Both Telangana and neighbouring Andhra Pradesh are in the grip of heatwave. Recent reports say that around 11 people have died due to heatwave conditions in these two southern states.

Along with AP and Telangana, heatwave conditions prevail in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi, to name a few places.
