Ahead of PM's Kashmir visit, social media sites under heavy scrutiny

New Delhi, Nov 2: The police in Kashmir is keeping a very close watch on all activities on Facebook ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit.

The PM is scheduled to visit, Kashmir on November 7th and several propaganda artists have already been circulating messages on social media sites promoting a Million March which is being organized by the separatists.

PM's visit: Social media under scrutiny

Several separatists have been detained as a precautionary measure as there is ample intelligence to suggest that they were planning on disrupting events that would be held during the Prime Minister's visit.

The million march is a call given by separatist, Syded Ali Shah Geelani and he along with his men have instructed that the same be propagated in a big way on the social media.

Police sources inform that they are keeping a close tab on social media sites where there has been immense propaganda to disrupt the PM's event. The Prime Minister who will visit Kashmir on November 7th is expected to announce a major relief package.

The separatists have taken objection to the PM's visit and have decided to carry out protests and also disrupt law and order. The police say that they have taken all precautionary measures and all propaganda material is being monitored very closely. The central intelligence bureau officials too are working along with the Kashmir police to counter the propaganda drive launched by the separatists.
