Bengaluru, June 16: The filing of the chargesheet in the AgustaWestland case naming James Christian Michel yesterday would help the Enforcement Directorate seek his extradition.

The 74 page chargesheet that was filed speaks about the manner in which middleman Michel had moved money around through his driver.

The chargesheet states that Michel's driver, Narayan Bahadur would take the money and hand it over to several persons who were in a position to influence the deal.

In a bid to make some of the transactions look clean, Michel had also paid off money stating that it would be a loan. One such payment made to Vimal Nagpal who was an employee of Westland Support

Service was mentioned as a loan. The loan amount of Rs 15 lakh was never repaid, the ED noted.

Company sent Punjabi music CDs to Michel:

The scanner of the ED is also on a company known as Media Exim. This was set up as an export company. The ED makes a note of just one transaction that the company made. An order for a Punjabi music CD had been placed and it was delivered.

Interestingly the order was placed by Michel. While this was the only the only sale, the ED has however found that this company was paid Rs 6.33 crore from Global Services another front company.

However the ED found that Media Exim had purchased properties and paintings which were later sold off. Properties at Safdarjung Enclave and Chhattarpur were also purchased by Media Exim.

The ED also makes a mention about a painting purchased for Rs 16.6 lakh. The properties were however sold off by Michel in 2012 before he left the country. The sale of the Safdarjung property was however not executed.

The ED further states that Michel would pack the money in different packets and send it out to through his driver. His driver would deliver the money at the location or to the person the Michel had instructed him to.

The ED makes a note of how Michel had made several visits to India to get the deal through. In the final stages of the deal there were nearly 60 visits.
