However, he was shocked and puzzled when he opened the box. It was not a mobile phone but neatly packed stones inside the box.

Mr Barai had ordered a Microsoft Lumia 640 on Amazon on June 12 but when he received the package on June 14, it contained stones and packing material.

He has filed a complaint with Amazon and the company assured him to get back to him only after conducting an internal probe. The man, meanwhile, claimed, "Bearing an order #402-9790750-636592, the packet was beautifully wrapped and when I opened the pack after the delivery boy left, I only found a pile of stones and thermocol pieces instead of a mobile."

Recently, Flipkart delivered mangoes to a man, who had ordered a mobile phone. Chiluveri Srucharan, a resident of Jagtial in Telangana, an electrical engineer, had used his credit card while placing the order on Flipkart. Now, he has been trying to get either the mobile phone or a refund.
