Adityanath thanks Modi for Rameswaram-Ayodhya train
Yogi Adityanath expressed the hope that this train from the birth place of Lord Ram to Rameshwaram will act as a religious bridge between north and south India.
Lucknow, July 28: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launchig an Express train between Rameswaram and Ayodhya.
Adityanath expressed hope that this train which will run from the birth place of Lord Ram to Rameshwaram will act as a religious bridge between north and south India.
He observed that the move by the Union government will also give boost to religious tourism in north and south India. While, on the one hand, this train will aid South Indian pilgrims visiting places like Ayodhya, Kashi and Allahabad, on the other hand, lakhs of people from Uttar Pradesh will get the facility of visiting Ramnathswami temple, Ram Setu and the Jyotirlinga in Rameswaram, he said, reports IANS.
He added that a project to develop and upgrade the Ayodhya railway station was already underway and that the state government was trying to give final shape to many other projects to develop Ayodhya.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Modi flagged off the train via video conferencing from Rameswaram railway station.
