Additional district judge joins AAP

Deoria (UP), Feb 7: Additional District and Sessions Judge Arun Kumar Tripathi has taken voluntary retirement and joined Aam Admi Party.

Tripathi, who joined the party yesterday, said if given a chance he would contest from Deoria parliamentary seat in the coming Lok Sabha polls.

"I want to follow Anna Hazare's ideology and fight corruption", Tripathi, who served as judge for over 28 years, said.

The AAP is forming a strong brigade against corruption with journalists, news journalists, judges and activists forming members of the party. Just a year old, the AAP has managed to impress one and many. Its leader Arvind Kejriwal, himself is an ex-IAS officer who left his services with the government to fight corruption.

Some of the other eminent party members in AAP include singer Rabbi Shergill, Kailash Kher, Adarsh Shastri, Meera Sanyal, Oscar Rebello and others. Film star AAmir Khan too came out of his secret sheath to support the Aam Aadmi party.
