Actress molestation case: Main accused sent to police custody
He, along with his aide Vijesh will remain in police custody until March 5.
The main accused in the Malayalam actress kidnap and molestation case, Sunil Kumar aka Pulsar Sunil, was on Saturday sent to police custody. He, along with his aide Vijesh will remain in police custody until March 5. The duo was arrested from a court in Ernakulam when they appeared to surrender.
Meanwhile, the police are yet to trace Sunil's phone that was allegedly used to shoot the actress when she was kidnapped by the gang. Those investigating the case claimed that Sunil told the police that he wanted to blackmail the actress and extort money. Police sources also claimed that he reiterated that there was no 'quotation' given to him by anyone to carry out the attack.
He allegedly told the police that he intented to threaten the actress with photos and videos of the incident and extort Rs 50 lakh so he could lead a comfortable life. His statement, however, is in contradiction to the actress' statement to the police. The actress in her complaint to the police alleged that Suni told her that he had been given a 'quotation' to assault and film her and would leave fast if she cooperated.
