Veteran actor Dharmendra admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai
Mumbai, May 28: Bollywood star Dharmendra has been admitted in Breach Candy hospital in South Mumbai.
The actor was reportedly admitted after he complained of weakness and shoulder pain.
"As of now he is fine, talking to everyone. There is nothing to worry," he said.
The 79-year-old actor is not likely to be discharged today as doctors are going to perform some tests on him.
"We are doing some investigations like MRI, X-Ray and all. Once the reports come, after that only we will be able to say something," Dr Desai said.
The actor is known for his acting in films like "Bandini", "Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya", "Anpadh", "Raja Jani", "Seeta Aur Geeta", "Sharafat", "Jugnu", "Charas", "Azaad" and "Sholay".
In 1997, Dharmendra received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to Hindi cinema.
He was a member of the 14th Lok Sabha from Bikaner constituency in Rajasthan from BJP.
In 2012, he was honoured India's third highest civilian honour Padma Bhushan by the government.
