Prime Minister Narendra Modi is known for supporting honest officers and at times goes to any extent to give them their due. Modi had proved this from very first day in the Government. He had appointed Nripendra Misra as his Principal Secretary going out of his way.

Reports say that Modi government is determined to change the face of the bureaucracy. The new dispensation wants to appoint young, bright minded officers in the Centre. And for that a list of 24 officers from all over the country has been made. Nagapal is one of them.

It is really praiseworthy that these bright officers are getting their due now which was eluded to them during erstwhile UPA government. But then these officers deserve that.
