Ghaziabad, Nov 26: Ahead of the quantum of punishment over Aarushi Talwar murder case, the convicted doctor couple have fallen ill in Dasna jail. Both Rajesh and Nupur Talwar reportedly have been suffering from high blood pressure.

The mother of the teen reportedly complained of uneasiness, anxiety and also asked the jail authorities to monitor her health issues. Dasna Jail jailor Vireshraj Sharma was quoted as saying, "Doctors in our ladies wing are conducting Nupur Talwar's check-up but the situation is under control. Rajesh Talwar's blood pressure was slightly high but he is fine. Nupur is being treated for anxiety."

Ghaziabad court is expected to give quantum of punishment on Tuesday, Nov 26. The doctor couple have been alleged of killing their only daughter-Aarushi and domestic help-Hemraj.

The special CBI court in Ghazibad on Monday convicted Rajesh under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence, or giving false information to screen offender), 203 (giving false information in respect to an offence committed), 302 (murder) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention), while his wife Nupur has been found guilty under Sections 201, 302 and 34.

Conviction under IPC Section 302 (murder) carries a minimum punishment of imprisonment for life and shall also be liable to fine while the maximum is death.

14-year-old Aarushi was found killed in the Jalvayu Vihar residence in Noida on May 16, 2008. A day later, Hemraj's body was found from the terrace of the house.
