New Delhi, April 24: The Gajendra Singh fiasco has not yet died down, when there is another incident related to AAP that has hit the headlines. Member of the party, Alka Lamba got an inept wink, an inappropriate nudge on the shoulder from a man who claimed he was "mentally unstable". What followed was a tight slap from the leader.
This happened when Lamba was inspecting heritage mansion of poet Mirza Ghalib in New Delhi.
The youth, in his mid 20s, was handed over to Kotwali Police by the AAP volunteers.
Lamba said,"He winked at me. He was looking at me in an inappropriate way. He also approached me near town hall, after which I slapped him. Following this, he started running. AAP volunteers who were there with me, chased him and handed him over to Kotwali Police. He claimed he was mentally unstable but even by evening his family could not produce any satisfactory evidence that he was undergoing medical treatment."
Registering a complain against the accused, police said,"A written complaint has been made to us in this regard and we are looking into the matter."
Lamba is Delhi Government's Parliamentary Secretary for Tourism.
