AAP delivers its water promise

New Delhi, Dec 30: In a meeting with the Jal Board earlier in the afternoon today, the newly appointed Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal decided that the people of Delhi will be provided 700 litres of water per day free of cost.

Vijay Kumar, CEO of the Delhi Jal Board said,"20 kilo litre of water free for those with working meters. People who use more than 20 KL consumption will have to pay for full. Each Delhi household with functional water metres will receive water supply of 666 litres per day."

He further added,"The 20 kilo litres of water to each household having functional water meters will be provided from January 1 to March 31, 2014."

The meeting was held at the Chief Minister's residence as he could not attend office due to illness. AAP leader Kumar Vishwas said that the major announcement of cutting power tariff would be made soon.
