AAP calls elections a learning experience
New Delhi, May 16: Far from the earlier euphoria that gripped a party on the rise, the mood at the AAP headquarters in Delhi today was sober and reflective.

Close to 200 supporters sat glued to big TV screens watching the Lok Sabha election results proclaimed the BJP's sweep. "It was a learning experience for us, winning was not our objective. But the people have supported us," Delhi's former Development and Labour Minister Girish Soni told IANS.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which bagged 28 seats in the state assembly and governed the national capital for 49 days, is currently at the second position in all seven seats here.

Party leaders Yogendra Yadav, Prashant Bhushan and Manish Sisodia were also camping at its party headquarters in Hanuman Road. According to party leaders, its chief Arvind Kejriwal, who was till yesterday at a meditation center in Gurgaon, is now in Varanasi where he is trailing Narendra Modi.

Initial trends are showing that the party, which was formed in 2012, is leading nationally in five seats, including four seats in Punjab.
