Mumbai, Dec 1: Whether India is a tolerant country or not is a different debate but when it comes to Aamir Khan, Indians react differently. Soon after facing stern criticism, the website, which was launched as #SlapAamir, has come up with a new avatar overnight -- #KissAamir.
Students of Miami Ad School designed the website which allowed its visitors to 'slap' the Bollywood actor virtually. However, now when a person visits the website, it automatically gets redirected to kissaamir.com.
The present disclaimer on the website reads, "kissaamir.com is for love and fun purposes only and represents kindness and kisses only. Please spread the tolerance of our love only."
Earlier the website allowed its users to slap Aamir virtually. A hand popped out which allowed users to slap an image of the actor. The face of the actor underwent changes after every slap.
The students initially launched the site with a disclaimer which read, "Slapaamir.com is for humour and creative purposes only and does not represent any political views of the people involved. Please be tolerant of our humor."
Aamir Khan landed into the controversy when he said, "Kiran and I have lived all our lives in India. For the first time, she said, should we move out of India?"
"That's a disastrous and big statement for Kiran to make to me. She fears for her child. She fears about what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspapers every day. That does indicate that there is a sense of growing disquiet," he added.
