Aamir Khan collaborated with Pak's ISI to promote 'PK', says Subramanian Swamy

New Delhi, Jan 16: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Saturday alleged that Aamir Khan had collaborated with Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) to promote his movie PK.

"I don't give importance to the statements made by Aamir Khan. I know this fact that he had collaborated with the Pakistan's ISI to promote his movie 'PK'. He has still not come out with a clarification," Swamy told ANI.

'Now Swamy attacks Aamir Khan'

"Being the brand ambassador of Incredible India campaign him saying that his wife feels insecure in the country, was not right. If she feels insecure, she should leave," he added.

Earlier on Thursday, BJP leader Ram Madhav denounced actor Aamir Khan's remarks on "intolerance", saying he should not only preach to an auto-rickshaw driver about the country's prestige but also to his wife.

Madhav also said the government would ensure that in future no need arises for "award-wapsi", and asserted that there will be no compromise on the security of the country's borders and self respect.

In an apparent dig at Aamir, who recently courted controversy over his remarks on perceived intolerance in the country, Madhav said, "It will not work that you preach to an autowallah how the country's prestige has to be saved, but not tell the same to your own wife."

"No one needs to return the awards, everyone will be taken care of, but the country should be respected. The individuals should also take care of the nation's prestige. We are dedicated to the security of the country. We want good relations with our neighbours. But with regard to the security of the country's borders and its self-respect, no compromise will be accepted... we will take care that no need arises to return awards years later," Madhav further added.
