'A Rise from Modi's village': Gujarat tourism dept offers special package to visit PM's birthplace

Gandhinagar, April 6: In an attempt to increase the number of tourists in the State, Gujarat Tourism Corporation has come out with unique idea which it has been promoting for the last few months.

The Coporation has started a tourism package named, 'Modi Tourism', which takes people to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's hometown of Vadnagar in Mehsana district.

According to report in DNA, the Corporation in collaboration with Akshar Travels Private Limited, launched the package, 'A Rise from Modi's village', in early January.

As per the reprot, the tour encompasses visits to Vadnagar Prathamik Kumar Shala--the primary school where Modi went to, Hatkeshwar Temple--where PM Modi spent time everyday, streets where he used to play with his friends and Sharmishtha Lake where PM Modi liked to spend time in his early childhood.

The tour will also include an interaction with PM Modi's classmates who will speak about their school days with Prime Minister, says the report.

The tour package also include a visit to the Vadnagar Railway Station where PM Modi used to sell tea.
