New Delhi, Nov 29: A meeting in Dubai held on November 6 has come under the scanner of the intelligence bureau. The meeting was held to discuss the plan on how to avenge the killing of the SIMI activists who had escaped from the Bhopal jail recently.
The meeting that was conducted in the Deira area in Dubai discussed the complete details of a sinister plot on how to carry out a major attack in India.
The attack would be focused on avenging the killing of the SIMI activists following which the Indian Mujahideen would get into revival mode. During the meeting which was attended by a few residents of Bhatkal it was decided that the Indian Mujahideen had to be revived at any cost.
They felt that in the absence of revenge attacks, the police were killing innocents in the name of terrorism. This has to be avenged at any cost and hence a strong outfit is needed in India, the meeting decided.
Further the meeting also decided that a donation drive would be undertaken. The money would then be given to the families of the slain SIMI activists.
The intelligence bureau is however not impressed and says that this is another attempt at recruitment and the intention clearly is to expand the reach of the IM. The IM has been making attempts to revive itself and this meeting is only an indicator of that the Intelligence Bureau official also said.
