The girl's mother had gone out to work and she was alone at home on Sunday evening when the 15-year-old accused called her over and raped her, police said, quoting the complaint lodged by the mother of the victim.
The boy later left her in an unconscious state in a nearby primary school and fled, police said. When the mother got to know of the incident, she tried to approach the police, but villagers pressed for solving the matter among themselves, they said.
The woman, however, took her daughter to police yesterday and submitted a complaint, after which a case was registered and the boy detained, they said. The girl has been admitted to hospital, police said.
