6 juvenile offenders escape from Bihar remand home
Ara, April 3: Six juvenile offenders have escaped from a remand home in Dhanupara locality of Ara after breaking the window grill.
Juvenile inmates managed to escape from the remand home late last night after breaking the window grill. The incident came to light on Sunday, April 3 morning when the head count was done, District Magistrate Birendra Prasad Yadav said.
A case has been lodged with the town police station in this regard, the DM said, adding that police are conducting raids at different parts of the district after sealing its borders. The DM has also asked Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Navdeep Shukla to submit a report in this regard after conducting a probe into the matter.
Yadav said that action would be taken against the Supervisor of the remand home and security personnel who were on duty. While two of the juveniles who managed to escape belonged to Bhojpur, another two were from Buxar and one each were from Rohtas and Kaimur.
