58 minor boys rescued while being trafficked
Officials said that the boys were taken from villages of Chanchol sub-division of Malda district on May 23 in the pretext of being taught in religious schools there. The police in Pallakad station in Kerala suspected the movements of these boys loitering on the platform when they reached there on May 25 and arrested two men who took them there from Malda in West Bengal.
The boys of aged nearly 14 were likely to be trafficked to the gulf for using as camel jockeys, the police said. The boys were escorted by police officers from Kerala and safely reached their villages after being produced in a juvenile court.
