2 minor girls raped in UP: Police

Kanpur, March 30: Two minor girls, aged three and 11 years, were allegedly raped in two separate incidents in the Sanchedi area here, police said on Wednesday,March 30.

An 11-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped by three minor boys at Bhairavpur village when she had gone out to the fields to relieve herself, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Surendra Tiwari said.

The incident occurred last night and a case has been registered following a complaint by the girl. The three accused -- two of them aged 14 and the third 15 years old -- who belong to the same village, are absconding and a search is on to nab them, he said.

In another incident, a three-year-old girl was raped by an unidentified person last evening when her parents had gone out to work at a construction site in Sanchedi, Tiwari said.

The accused allegedly lured the girl while she was playing outside her house and then raped her. The parents later found their daughter lying injured outside their shanty and took her to hospital, the SP said, adding that a test has confirmed rape.

A case has been registered in this connection and a hunt is on for the accused, he said.
