Hyderabad, July 21: It is a proud moment for India and Hyderabad sees no bounds in enjoying the moment. City boy Rohit Khandelwal took India to a global map by winning the Mr World contest 2016. He emerged victorious after defeating 46 other contestants from across the world.
The contest was held in Southport Theatre and Convention Centre in United Kingdom. Thanking his well-wishers and family for the support, he said, "I still can't believe that I have won the Mr World title. Being the first Indian ever to win this title internationally makes me immensely proud and ecstatic. It's a dream come true and am very thankful to the Miss India Organization for giving me this opportunity and guiding me throughout my exciting journey."
He further added, "My family, friends and my fans have been a constant support for me and this wouldn't have been possible without the support of my well-wishers," he said. Mr World 2014 Nicklas Pedersen passed on the title to the new winner."
He is crowned the Provogue Personal Care Mr. India World 2015 and has been trained by renowned people like Sabira Merchant, Supreet Bedi, Prasad Bidapa, Dr. Jamuna Pai, Dr.Sandesh Mayekar, Amit Khanna, Swaroop Medara, Rukshana Eisa. He was also trained in special football and circuit training to increase the endurance required in the physical challenges at the pageant.
