AAP makes its presence felt in Guwahati with 'jhaadu yatra'
AAP activists during the yatra asked people to 'brush away' the Congress party in the upcoming Lok Sabha election. AAP activists urged the people to vote for non-corrupt candidates who would work for the social welfare.
The rally began at Beltola and many students and professionals were a part of it.
AAP leader from the state Jonki Pegu said: "Time has come to oust the Congress and other corrupt parties from power and empower the aam aadmi.
Our jhaadu yatra is aimed at mobilising the masses to vote for the AAP."
Many jhaadu yatras have been planned all across the state. One of the main areas of focus for the AAP will be attaining swaraj for the common people, Pegu said.
