CBI lawyer: Rajesh and Nupur Talwar knew of Hemraj's death in advance
On the second day of the final arguements, the prosecution said that Rajesh and Nupur Talwar knew in advance about the death of their domestic help before his body was found at the terrace, a day after the crime.
CBI lawyer BK Singh told the court that on May 16, 2008, Rajesh had lodged a complaint stating that "He, his wife Nupur and daughter Aarushi reside at his house while Hemraj also lived at his residence."
'Lived' word indicates that Rajesh already knew Hemraj was not alive. Talwar also said that Hemraj had fled after murdering his daughter, while Rajesh woke up in the morning, Singh added.
Rajesh Talwar, initially denied that he knew Hemraj
Singh also said that Aarushi's room door was open when the crime took place as the door had blood spots in the front part. He questioned that how was it possible that Rajesh and Nupur could not hear the sound of the attack and screams, while they slept in the adjacent room.
Singh also pointed out to the fact that the day Hemraj's body was found on Rajesh's residence terrace, Rajesh had denied that he knew the person. Later on people who were present said that the body was of Hemraj's. "Such behaviour of the Talwar's also creates suspicion," he added.
